Rams QB Sam Bradford hurt in 1st quarter

CLEVELAND -- St. Louis starting quarterback Sam Bradford has been taken to the locker room after appearing to reinjure his surgically repaired left knee.

Bradford went down after being pressured by defensive lineman Armonty Bryant in the first quarter. Bradford stayed down for several minutes before walking gingerly to the sideline.

He spent a few minutes being checked by medical personnel behind the Rams' bench before being escorted to the locker room.

The Rams provided no immediate word on Bradford's condition.

Bradford missed the final nine games last season after surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. He was playing his second preseason game after making his exhibition debut last week.

Bradford went 4 of 9 for 77 yards before leaving. He was replaced by Shaun Hill.
