Colin Kaepernick wears police pig socks

By now, you probably know the controversy surrounding San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

He's refusing to stand for the National Anthem, a move that he says stems from his belief that African-Americans and minorities are oppressed in America.

Attention to the matter first stirred when Kaepernick refused to stand for the National Anthem before the 49ers' preseason game with Green Bay Aug. 26.

But on Aug. 12, tweets from 49ers practice surfaced noting Kaepernick's socks.

They're not dogs, actually. A closer look reveals the police on Kaepernick's socks are actually pigs.

On Thursday afternoon, Kaepernick posted the following to Instagram:
