McDaniels withdraws as Browns coach prospect

CLEVELAND -- You can cross Josh McDaniels off the list of possible Browns coach candidates.

McDaniels met with Browns officials for just over seven hours Saturday. Reportedly, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam loved him and McDaniels said he had an awesome meeting.

McDaniels is thought to believe that it's not the right time for him to become a head coach and some believe he is in line to succeed Patriots' Coach Bill Belichick.

Green Bay's Quarterback Coach Ben McAdoo interviewed with the Browns today. That's the fourth candidate interview for the Browns.

And Texas A& M quarterback Johnny Manziel, a redshirt sophomore and the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner as a freshman, officially declared for the NFL draft today.

Manziel will move to San Diego for the next two months and train with quarterback coach George Whitfield. Whitfield is the one who trained Colts' quarterbacj Andrew Luck and Panthers' quarterback Cam Newton before their drafts.
