CLEVELAND -- "Captain America" is heading back to Northeast Ohio.
The action-packed sequel, which filmed throughout the city last year, will have a premiere right here in Cleveland.
It's all thanks to one of the hometown directors.
Joe Russo tells Cleveland.com that a local premiere for "Captain America: Winter Soldier" is expected on Tuesday, April 1.
That makes Cleveland just one of a few select cities globally to host a premiere for this film. The others are Los Angeles, Paris, Beijing and London.
Russo says this was a "massive priority" for them to do in Cleveland.
Further details are expected at a later date.
"Captain America: Winter Soldier" will be unleashed in theaters nationwide on April 4.
