"All the long rehearsals, the playing and singing that I've done, there are a lot of great musicians out there, and very few of them get to a platform that's deserving. I'm hoping to beat the odds," Amrose says.

He is hoping that "The Voice" audition will advance his musical career.

"I'm just trying to find a way to bow tie the end of my career," Amrose says.
