NORTHFIELD CENTER -- Local singer Chaz Amrose is looking to take the next step in his career with "The Voice" auditions coming to Cleveland.
"We're gonna see if they're looking for me this time," Amrose says.
The 43-year-old musician auditioned for the show in Chicago this past January but was turned down. Amrose started singing when he was 17. He has played in Las Vegas and performs locally with his band, Pop Culture.

"All the long rehearsals, the playing and singing that I've done, there are a lot of great musicians out there, and very few of them get to a platform that's deserving. I'm hoping to beat the odds," Amrose says.
He is hoping that "The Voice" audition will advance his musical career.
"I'm just trying to find a way to bow tie the end of my career," Amrose says.
