SHAKER HEIGHTS -- A Shaker school bus driver learned just how much his students and families adore him Friday morning.

Fred Taylor has been a bus driver for 20 years. During that time he's won a huge amount of support from his community for his positive attitude and compassion.

To repay his kindness, families collected donations and bought Taylor a warm winter coat and cold-weather gear for Christmas. Students and parents gathered at the bus stop at Morley and South Woodland and surprised Taylor with the gifts this morning.

Taylor is a two-time cancer survivor and underwent a bone marrow transplant a few years ago.
