A provocative advertising campaign is making people angry in cities across the country.

It declares people including cat lovers and crazy old aunts deserve to die.

The posters are placed on telephone booths and bus terminals.

A quick bit of online research found the site noonedeservestodie.orgwith the same posters scrolling by and a countdown clock that expires at midnight Thursday.

The web site reads that: Every year 160,000 lives are lost to a deadly disease. They didn't ask for it, but many seem to think they deserved it.

The ads are on a handful of pay phones in Chicago and two other Illinois cities.

They've also been spotted on phones in Seattle and New York City.

According to affiliate WBBM, published reports speculate the campaign may be tied to lung cancer deaths.
