CLEVELAND - A heat advisory will go into effect for Cuyahoga, Lorain, Erie and Huron counties on Thursday starting at 11 AM and end at 8 PM, EDT.

The National Weather Service is calling for high temperatures on Thursday to reach into the mid 90s with heat index values exceeding 100 degrees in parts of Northeast Ohio.

Across western sections of Ohio into Indiana, an excessive heat warming will go into effect Thursday from 11 AM to 8PM, EDT. In these area, heat index values are forecast to reach into the mid and upper 100s.

According to the National Weather Service, these hot and humid conditions will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Make sure to take necessary precautions to stay cool in the intense heat.
