LONDON - Cleveland's Justin Lester competed in London in the Greco-Roman wrestling event but didn't reach the medals podium.
Lester, considered a pre-Olympics medal favorite, lost in the quarterfinals.
No American medaled in the wrestling competition marking the first time that has happened since 1976.
Lester competing in the 66 kg weight class won his first match against Japan but fell to Hungary's Tamas Lorincz who went on to win the silver medal.
Lester had a chance to wrestle for the bronze in a repechage match but lost to Germany's Frank Staebler.
