BEREA -- There are reports that Browns cornerback Joe Haden has been notified by the NFL that he failed a random drug test during the off-season.

Haden reportedly tested positive for a banned substance. The substance in question appears to be Adderall.

The policy of the NFL is to re-test the sample and if turns up positive again, Haden would face typically a four-game suspension.

Haden has the right to appeal. The Browns are not commenting on the situation. Should Haden be suspended it is likely he will miss the first four games of the regular season.

Haden is entering his third year with the Browns and is a former top draft choice of the Browns 2010.
