The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission will kick off the second annual Cleveland Classic HBCU football game presented by McDonald's on Saturday when Morehouse College will battle Winston-Salem State University at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

The Cleveland Classic is more than just a football game...it's an entire weekend full of dynamic activities and events for all ages while celebrating premier historically black universities. All are invited to participate in the weekend festivities including the College Readiness Fair, College Now Greater Cleveland, Greek Step Show, Tailgate party presented by University Hospitals, KeyBank Marching Band Half-time Show, and the Cleveland Classic football game.

Events coinciding with the 2012 Cleveland Classic will include the following official festivities and events surrounding the game, many of which are free with the purchase of a ticket to the game.

College Readiness Fair presented by McDonald's and College Now Greater Cleveland

Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium - North and South Club Levels

Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm

Details: An estimated 1,500 high school students from 10+ school districts from the Greater Cleveland area are invited to attend the College Readiness Fair where they can prepare for life after high school and learn about different options for post-graduate education as well as how to reach their academic goals. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions that will educate them on the various steps to college.

Symposium to Advance Educational Excellence

Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Details: Dr. James L. Moore, Associate Provost of The Ohio State University, and Director of the Todd Anthony Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male, will lead a discussion on transforming educational opportunities for African-Americans. Event presented by PNC, The Presidents' Council Foundation, Baldwin-Wallace University Office of Diversity, and The Urban League of Greater Cleveland. Cost: Free admission, RSVP required PNC

The United States Marine Corps presents the Cleveland Classic Greek Step Show

Time: 7:00pm - 10:00pm (doors open at 5:00pm)

Details: This exciting competition will celebrate the unique art of stepping as the Divine Nine nationally recognized HBCU fraternities and sororities showcase their creative talents and lay it on the line to be named the 2nd Annual Cleveland Classic Greek Step Show Champion. Hosted by Kym Whitley and Ahmaad Crump.

Cost: Free admission with purchase of Cleveland Classic game ticket. On-site ticket sales will be available at Quicken Loans Arena. Prices start at $15.

Tailgate Party presented by University Hospitals

Details: Join the pregame excitement at the Cleveland Classic Tailgate Party presented by University Hospitals just outside Browns Stadium. This family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, health screens and other vendors, food and beverages, games and more!

College & Career Experience presented by Verizon

Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm Details: Students have an additional opportunity to meet with representatives from colleges and universities as well as learn about different internship and career opportunities from local organizations.

KeyBank Marching Band Halftime Show

Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium

Time: Halftime Details: Don't miss the unbelievable halftime show as the Morehouse College "House of Funk" and Winston-Salem State University "Red Sea of Sound" marching bands and drumlines perform. The Mighty Shaw High School Marching Cardinal Band from right here in East Cleveland will start off the show performing with local hip-hop artist Ray Jr.
