NORTH CANTON -- Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan held a Victory RallyFriday at North Canton Hoover High School

Romney and Ryan arrived about 45 minutes late to the rally. U.S. Senate candidate Josh Mandel, the Ohio Treasurer, warmed up the crowd, along with U.S. Sen. Rob Portman and Bay Village native actress Patricia Heaton.

The rally concluded about 8:45 p.m. with fireworks.

Here are some comments form the rally.

Romney: "...how many single moms are scrimping and saving to put food on the table?"

Romney: "I want to help small business..."

Romney: "..we will take advantage of new energy sources...open up new trade with other nations...get our workers more training..."

Romney: "..we will not raise taxes on middle-income Americans and we will not raise taxes on small businesses..we will not cut spending to the military..we will increase it.."

Romney: "...he calls his campaign 'Forward,' I call it 'Forewarned'....."

Romney: "...President's policies on economy have not worked...if he's re-elected, you will have the same as you have had..."

Romney: "...this election is important...(Obama) makes the election about small things, like Sesame Street characters..."

Romney: "...we have a 12-step plan that will create jobs...I don't understand how a college kid could vote for Barack Obama.."

Romney: "...when Paul Ryan and I are elected, we are going to restore Medicare...."

Romney: "What an Ohio welcome...you warm our hearts on such a cool evening...it matters, doesn't it?"

Ryan introduces Mitt Romney...to the music "I was born free"....and Portman also returns to the stage....Romney hugs Heaton, takes the stage

Ryan: "We aren't gping to run from these problems....it is here, this is the moment...we are picking what kind of country we will be.."

Ryan: "We are giving the country a very clear choice...we need you to talk to those people who voted for Obama last time..."

Ryan said that Ohio is "...the epicenter" of the election..."

Ryan started with "O-H..." and the crowd responded with "I-O" ...then showed the crowd the "lucky Buckeye" he got from Rob Portman.. "

Patricia Heaton introduces Paul Ryan and and his family and they take the stage....just after 8 p.m.....
