COLUMBUS -- This weekend marks the only Saturday and Sunday thatOhio voters will have the chance to cast anearly ballot before Election Day.

The three days before Tuesday's election had been at the center of a legal battle between President Barack Obama's campaign and Ohio's secretary of state and attorney general - both Republicans.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 16 rejected Ohio's appeal of a federal court decision that reinstated in-person early voting on the disputed days.

Secretary of State Jon Husted has directed the state's 88 county boards of elections to be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday; and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.
