Manhattan, KS (Sports Network) - Four different players scored in double figures for Kansas State as the Wildcats dismissed North Dakota 85-52 in the season opener at Bramlage Coliseum.

Angel Rodriguez and Thomas Gipson tied for the team lead with 13 points for Kansas State (1-0). Martavious Irving added 11 while Will Spradling finished with 10. The win was the first under first-year head coach Bruce Weber.

Troy Huff was the lone double-figure scorer for North Dakota (01) with 12 points.

Kansas State led by nine, 36-27, at the half after shooting 35.3 percent from the floor and outscoring North Dakota 11-7 from the free throw line. North Dakota was just a step behind shooting 33.3 percent.

The Wildcats got it going in the second half knocking down 53.1 percent of its shots while North Dakota cooled to 27.3 percent shooting.

With the game well in hand in the second half Kansas State was able to play a number of reserves who outscored their North Dakota counterparts 45-18. Kansas State also forced 19 turnovers and held a 48-35 edge in rebounds.
