CLEVELAND -- The City of Cleveland Department of Public Works will not be collecting trash on Tuesday, Jan. 1 in observance of the holiday.

Instead, waste collection for the week will be delayed one day, resuming on Wednesday, Jan. 2 and ending on Saturday, Jan. 5.

In addition, Cleveland residents are now able to dispose of live Christmas trees and wreaths by placing them out on regularly scheduled waste collection days through Friday, Feb. 1. Only live trees and live wreaths free of lights, tinsel, wires, bows and ornaments will be collected from tree lawns.

Artificial wreaths and trees can be disposed by placing them in garbage cans on regular trash collection days.

For those with questions, call the Division of Waste Collection at 216-664-3711.
