The nonprofit's director tells The Plain Dealer they'd like people in Ohio to discover the sculptures that are on the list and help document those that aren't.

Some of the sculptures have high profiles, like the President William McKinley statue outside the Statehouse in Columbus and the one of baseball's Bob Feller next to Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Many more are hidden in parks and neighborhoods all over the state.

Cleveland State University librarian Bill Barrow called public sculpture a "statement about the community," reflecting its history, values and more.
