COLUMBUS -- A $2,000 reward has been offered for information involving a man who robbed a bank and then tried to wash dye off the money at a local Laundromat.
WBNS-TV reports that police say the man walked in the Key Bank in downtown Columbus on Dec. 17 and demanded money from a teller. The teller complied, and the man ran west from the bank, where the dye pack exploded. Police said he later tried to wash the dye-stained money at a Laundromat on the west side of the city.
The same man is also accused of robbing a Fifth Third Bank in Grandview.
The group Central Ohio Crime Stoppers said Sunday that it's offering $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment of the man in the case.
