WICKLIFFE -- Police have released photos from a surveillance camera in the effort to make an arrest in the robbery of a Wickliffe Speedway gas station.

The station at Euclid and Lloyd Road was robbed at knifepoint at just after 7 a.m. this morning. Police say the suspect brandished a large knife with an 8-inch blade.

According to police, the male suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with an NFL emblem on the back and the words 'Gridiron Classic.' The sweatshirt had light-colored stripes down both arms. Police say the man also wore light-colored pans, tennis shoes, dark gloves and a ski mask.

The man fled in a 1992 dark blue 2-door Chevy Blazer with a red lift gate, red driver's door and a light blue passenger door. The SUV had been reported stolen just prior to the robbery from another Speedway on Lakeshore and Vine Street in Willowick.
