BEREA -- The Cleveland Browns have added two more coaches to the team. Bobby Babich has been selected as their assistant defensive backs coach and Daron Roberts will work as their defensive quality control coach. This news also comes with the announcement that Shawn Mennenga (special teams assistant) will be retained from last year's staff.

"I got to know Bobby well during our time together in Carolina and see him as an outstanding young coach," head coach Rob Chudzinski says. "Daron is an extremely bright individual and will greatly support our defensive staff."

Babich spent the past two seasons with the Carolina Panthers as a defensive assistant (2012) and administrative assistant for the coaching staff (2011).

Prior to joining the Panthers, he served as secondary coach at Eastern Illinois University from 2007-2010. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Babich began his coaching career in 2006 as a graduate assistant at Kent State University, where he worked with future NFL Draft picks Usama Young and Jack Williams.

Babich was a four-year letterman as a cornerback at North Dakota State University. His father, Bob, has coached in the NFL since 2003 and is currently the defensive coordinator with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Roberts spent the past two seasons at West Virginia University, first coaching the wide receivers/special teams returners (2011) and then the cornerbacks (2012).

Prior to West Virginia, Roberts spent two seasons (2009-2010) as the Detroit Lions' assistant secondary coach.

In 2009, the Lions finished fifth in the NFL with 21 interceptions.Prior to Detroit, Roberts spent two seasons (2007-08) with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a volunteer coach in 2007 and was hired as defensive quality control assistant in 2008.
