Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - Kareem Jamar tallied 18 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists to lead the Montana Grizzlies over the Northern Colorado Bears, 73-63, in a Big Sky Conference matchup at Dahlberg Arena.
It was the 24th straight conference win for the Grizzlies, tying them with Weber State (1968-69 through 1969-70) for the longest winning streak in Big Sky history.
For the Grizzlies (17-4, 13-0 Big Sky), Mathias Coleman added 14 points and Will Cherry finished with 13 points.
Derrick Barden and Tate Unruh each paced the Bears (6-15, 4-9) with 17 points, while Tevin Svihovec chipped in with 11 points.
Montana shot well to start the game, connecting on 52.2 percent of its field goal tries in the first half, including 5-of-9 from 3-point distance. Northern Colorado made just 31 percent of its shots from the field and only 4-of-13 from beyond the 3-point arc in the half.
The Bears brought their deficit to five midway through the second half but they would get no closer, as the Grizzlies held on for their record-tying victory.
Montana outscored Northern Colorado in the paint, 26-20.
