Lincoln, NE (Sports Network) - Dylan Talley scored 18 points and nailed a clutch 3-pointer in the final seconds as the Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes, 64-60, in Big Ten action at the Devaney Center.
Shawn Shields added 17 points and seven rebounds, Brandon Ubel had 12 points and eight boards and Ray Gallegos chipped in 11 points for Nebraska (13-14, 4-10 Big Ten) which had lost four its previous five games.
Roy Devyn Marble netted 18 points, Aaron White posted a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds and Eric May tacked on 10 points for Iowa (17-10, 6-8) which had a three-game winning streak come to an end.
Iowa rolled out to a 41-25 lead at halftime by shooting 43.8 percent from the floor, 4-of-7 from beyond the arc and a perfect 9-of-9 from the free-throw line. Nebraska connected on just 34.4 percent of its field goal attempts in the first period.
In the second half Nebraska rallied by shooting 62.5 percent from the floor while holding the Hawkeyes to just seven field goals on 28 percent shooting. With the teams tied at 60-60 with less than 10 seconds remaining Talley knocked down a shot from beyond the arc that proved to be the decisive blow.
Nebraska trailed by as many as 19 points but came back thanks in part to a 17-7 edge in points off turnovers.
