PORTAGE COUNTY -- The Portage County Drug Task Force busts two meth labs in four days.
On March 21,members of the Portage County Drug Task Force arrested and booked into the Portage County Jail Luke E. Adkins, 32, andJennifer L Adkins, 31, both of Ravenna Township, for illegal manufacturing of meth and possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture drugs.
According to Sheriff David W. Doak, Task Force members on March 21 were called to assist Sheriff's Deputies who responded to the home to answer a call of a female being held against her will.
Deputies meet with Jennifer and Luke Adkins at the home and theylearned that a warrant to arrest Luke Adkins was issued out of Summit County for escape and he was taken into custody.
Task Force Members searched the home, locating drug paraphernalia and chemicals used in the manufacturing methamphetamine.
Luke Adkins has previously been arrested in Summit County for domestic violence, receiving stolen property, aggravated possession of drugs, aggravated vehicular assault and non-support.
Jennifer Adkins currently has a case pending in Washington County, Alabama where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing of a controlled substance.
On march 25,Task Force members, following up on a complaint of methamphetamine being cooked onEtter Road in Suffield Township, located drug paraphernalia and chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Following their investigation, agents arrested and booked into the Portage County Jail, Sean Adkins, 35,and Shanna Williams, 35, both of Suffield Township. They were charged withillegal manufacturing of meth in the presence of a juvenile.
Sean Adkins has previous arrests in Summit and Stark counties for felony drug offenses.Shanna Williams has a previous arrest in Summit County for illegal manufacturing of drugs and possession of drugs.
The Portage County Drug Task Force, after meeting with the Prosecutor's Office will present additional evidence to the Portage County Grand Jury seeking additionalcharges.
