Casablanca, Morocco (Sports Network) - Top seed Stanislas Wawrinka was an easy quarterfinal victor Friday at the Moroccan Grand Prix tennis event.
The 2010 Casablanca champion waltzed past Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-1, 6-2 in a mere 59 minutes on the red clay at Complexe Al Amal.
Wawrinka's semifinal opponent on Saturday will be 2001 Casablanca runner-up Tommy Robredo, as the former world No. 5 from Spain ousted fourth-seeded Frenchman Benoit Paire 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 6-0 on Day 5.
The winner of this $525,000 tournament will earn $96,000.
