OKLAHOMA CITY- Authorities say a tornado that touched down in the Tulsa area doesn't appear to have destroyed any buildings.
Because it was dark out when the tornado hit Broken Arrow, it's difficult to determine the extent of the damage. But Police Maj. Mark Irwin told the Tulsa World that the city had no reports that any buildings were destroyed.
After hitting the area, the storm moved east into far northwestern Arkansas.
A National Weather Service meteorologist also said it didn't appear to be a strong twister like the deadly one in suburban Oklahoma City last week.
Earlier in the day, tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma and Arkansas, injuring at least nine people.
