The Cleveland Courage fundgot a big boosttodayas proceeds from last month's Call to Courage benefit concert were added to the growing total.

WKYC, Clear Channel Media & Entertainment, La Villa Party Center and Party 411 Events partnered together to host the community benefit "Call to Courage" on May 23rd. The event raised just over $30,000 which was handed over to the fund today to be distributed to Amanda and her daughter, Gina and Michelle.

The benefit concert was held at La Villa Party Center and supporters got to sample donated food from area restaurants and bid on fabulous auction items donated by businesses across Northeast Ohio.

WKYC also raised an additional $18,000 from the sale of t-shirts that bore the names of Gina, Amanda and Michelle. The donated t-shirts were displayed and sold at several area businesses over the last month.

There are still t-shirts for sale and they will be available next Saturday, June 15th at a Cleveland Courage Fund benefit concert at Vosh on Riverside Drive in Lakewood. The concert will feature Joe King of "The Fray" and several other groups. Tickets can be purchased by contacting 877joeking@eventbrite.com.

The Courage Fund also benefitted today from the generosity of local Pannini owner George Fox who donated the one-day proceeds from his Brunswick and Kent stores, totaling more than $15,000.

To date The Cleveland Courage Fund has received more than $850,000 in donations.
