Gridiron stars representing graduating classes from Cuyahoga County high schools capped their prep athletic careers by participating in the 2013 Cleveland Clinic Sports Health Cuyahoga County East-West High School All-Star Scholarship Football Game on Friday night at George Finnie Stadium in Berea.
The 41th edition of the annual all-star contest, much like many in years past, was an offensive shootout.
The East squad scored the decisive touchdown with less than two minutes left in the fourth quarter to secure the 38-34 win.
Shaker Heights' Jimmie Pope was named MVP of the East squad while North Royalton's Nick Krempasky was named MVP of the West squad. Pope threw for 118 yards and two scores. Krempasky amassed 90 yards and a touchdown on five catches.
