According to a recent News-Herald feature story on Gray, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound fullback's blocking skills are primarily what have drawn the attention of Division I college scouts.
In addition to Maryland, the Hilltopper student-athlete also reportedly had scholarship offers from the University of Louisville and several Mid-American Conference schools.
On Sunday, Gray expressed his excitement about his decision in a tweet while also thanking those closest to him for their support.
It's like a dream come true. Never could have gotten close to where I am without all my teammates friends coaches and family. #blessed- gArY (@Andrewgray35) June 16, 2013
