CLEVELAND -- Cleveland has more than 80 summer feeding sites for poor children, but we found some perfectly good food being thrown out.

We saw milk being dumped out and prepackaged potato salad that was not opened being thrown in the trash.

The City of Cleveland sponsors the federal program and says it is following guidelines when the food is thrown out after lunch.

There is no doubt this program helps many children and families, but we are looking into whether there is way this food can still be used.
