Shaker Heights High School rising senior basketball player Rosel Hurley has orally committed to accept an athletic scholarship from Kent State University and to join the Golden Flashes' men's hoops program in fall 2014, according to Shaker Heights head coach Danny Young.

Young shared the news via a congratulatory tweet on Twitter on June 29.

Hurley, a 6-foot-6 forward, averaged 12.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.3 assists during the 2012-13 season.

The senior-to-be told USATodayhss.com/Cleveland via Twitter that he chose to commit to the Golden Flashes for a multitude of reasons.
