CLEVELAND -- Dog lovers have a new place to hang out -- and help man's best friend.
The Ohio City Dog Haven isn't your average pet store.
At it's grand opening Saturday, the store owner highlighted goods made by local artists, including everything from recycled seat belts that serve as dog collars, to freshly baked dog treats and homemade pottery dog bowls.
The owner says they inspect every ingredient of the food they sell.
"You feed your dog good quality food, you don't have to feed them as much, they maintain a regular weight, their coat stays healthy, they're less susceptible to diabetes, the things that are directly linked to bad diets," said owner Stephen Szelpa.
Another goal of the store is to bring more local businesses to the Ohio City neighborhood.
