CLEVELAND -- Great grocery savings are not easy to stumble upon. Unlike most of the deals I feature regularly, there are no 80% off coupons to lower your grocery costs on a regular basis.
Thankfully, there are two apps I'm always armed with that make a major difference.
RedLaser (http://redlaser.com/) is one of my favorite free shopping apps, whichhas recently been updated to make grocery shopping a joy. Download this free app for Windows Phones, Apple devices and Android and your smartphone becomes a barcode scanner. Scan the barcodes of your favorite grocery products and RedLaser will reveal whether that price you see is truly the lowest and where you can lock in a lower price near you.
RedLaser also has a special food allergy notification tool where you can scan items and find out on the spot what to avoid.
GroceryIQ (http://www.groceryiq.com/) is another grocery store staple in my opinion. This free app lets you quickly and easily create grocery lists, share those grocery lists with family or significant others and also has the barcode scanning feature. You can sort by aisle and even grab coupons to use directly from your smartphone. This free app is available for Android and Apple devices.
Finally, if you want to skip the apps and just head straight for the zip codes, my favorite roundup of grocery coupons can be found right here. Just make sure to enter your zip code to pull up the coupons in your area. [http://www.offers.com/grocery-coupons/]
