The Summer Market is a unique outdoor festival and benefit held right on the shore of Lake Erie. Thousands of guests visit the Market each year to shop for furniture, jewelry, art, vintage items, fresh produce, home decor, and a variety of other goods from more than 65 vendors. Guests dine from three featured restaurants and listen to live music while watching the sun set or playing at the beach.

7/27 - Headlands BeachFest in Mentor

This free, family friendly, outdoor celebration will incorporate the arts with the elements of wind, water and sand to create an interactive event on Ohio's longest natural beach.

The grounds will be enhanced with brightly colored, 17 foot tall Good Luck Banners, each decorated by the art students from the Mentor School System and kids from Mentor's Day Camp program.

Stop by the Event Information Booth to pick up an updated schedule of events and a map of the grounds. You can also purchase a limited edition Headlands BeachFest sand pail and shovel set at the booth to use during the sand castle building contest.

Headlands Beach State Park is located at the northern terminus of OH 44-N at Headlands Road.

8 a.m. - Registration for the 5K race (Mineral Lake Park, Grove Street Pavilion)

11 a.m. - Musical entertainment by The Pop Tarts, food vendors and bounce houses open for the day.

1 p.m. - Parade (beginning at Third Demension and travel north on Old State Road to the Middlefield Municipal Building)

2 - 3 p.m. - Musical entertainment by Raelynn Debevits. She will then emcee for the performances of the five finalists of the Middlefield Has Talent contest. There will also be barrel train rides by The Trumbull County Antique Tractor Club.

3 p.m. - Cornhole Tournament

3 - 4 p.m. - Mark's Magic Show

3 - 5 p.m.- Rocket Car Rides

4 p.m. - BMX Show by Dialed Action Sports Team, Balloon animals

5 - 7 p.m. - Classic rock music by the band Alter Ego

7:30 - 9:45 p.m. - Music by the band The Round to Its featuring Cardinal High School teacher Candi Peters

9:45 p.m. - Fireworks

Takes place 3-10 p.m. at the Black River Landing, 421 Black River Lane Join us for an exciting community experience! See the cars, listen to music, taste good food and wine, and visit the vendors! Admission is free!

Tickets for Wine Tasting can be purchased for $10. Five Ohio wineries will be bringing samples, and a ticket buys a souvenir wine glass, and five tastings.

The LoCoBrits (Lorain County British Car Club) will hold a British Car Cruise-In, showcasing their antique automobiles. Vendors will feature local arts, crafts, and antiques, and food vendors will be on hand as well. For musical entertainment, A Taste of History is proud to welcome Music on a Mission and GNT Jazz (Witherspoon and Moore) We look forward to seeing you at this quality, community event, rain or shine!
