MIAMI - Dorian has regenerated into a tropical depression east of Florida.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami says Dorian's maximum sustained winds early Saturday are 35 mph (55kmh). The depression's center is about 85 miles (140 kilometers) east-northeast of Cape Canaveral.

Dorian is moving north at 6 mph (9 kph).

No coastal watches or warnings are in effect.

Forecasters with the center expect the tropical system to continue moving north at the same speed, with little change in strength, on Saturday, with a turn toward the northeast Sunday. On Dorian's projected track, forecasters expect it to remain well off the southeast U.S. coast.
