Tina Fey will host 'SNL' season opener, joined by Arcade Fire, while Miley Cyrus hosts and performs in Week 2 of show's 39th season.

Saturday Night Live welcomes back former Weekend Update anchor Tina Fey as host of the NBC late-night institution's 39th season premiere on Sept. 28.

Fey, who will mark her fourth time as host since leaving the show for 30 Rock in 2006, will be joined by rock bank Arcade Fire, also making its fourth appearance.

For Week 2 on Oct. 5, Miley Cyrus, who made a grindingly big splash at MTV's Video Music Awards, will both host and perform as the musical guest.

And Oct. 12, actor Bruce Willis returns for his second hosting stint, joined by Katy Perry, promoting her upcoming album Prism.

Still no word on how producer Lorne Michaels plans to replenish the Not Ready for Prime Time Players lineup. SNL lost Bill Hader, Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis in May and will see Seth Meyers depart, probably in December, as he readies his own late-night talk show, due in February.
