Temperatures this afternoon reached the low and mid 90s, tying or breaking temperature records of nearly 50 years.

Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport recorded a temperature as of 4 PM of 96 degrees, breaking a record of 93 degrees set back on September 10, 1964. This was also the highest temperature Cleveland has recorded so far this year.

Mansfield-Lahm Regional Airport recorded a temperature of 95 degrees (new update), breaking its record of 93 degrees set on this date.

Akron-Canton's temperature as of 4:00 pm was 93 degrees, tying its record set back on this day.

Parts of Northeast Ohio have not seen the 90s since mid July and haven't been this warm since last summer.
