CLEVELAND -- No injuries were reported as Cleveland firefighters battled an abandoned house fire early Thursday morning on the city's west side.

The fire was reported on Larnder Avenue, off of W. 98th Street after 1 a.m.

Officials say nobody was injured, but one firefighter did get debris in his eyes. The battalion chief says that sort of thing happens fairly often.

The fire started in the rear bedroom of the house.

The fire remains under investigation.
