CLEVELAND -- Believe it or not, some people in Ohio are getting through the Healthcare.gov website to choose insurance options.
Medical Mutual of Ohio has received less than 100 applications, and, while the government claims nearly half a million applications for coverage have been submitted, some of those may be duplicates.
"Customers said that when they were enrolling and hitting the submit button they would get an error message on the screen, so they would go through the process again and again, and each time they hit submit they were actually generating a policy," says Don Olson, spokesman for Medical Mutual of Ohio.
The actual number of submissions won't be known until it's a done deal.
"The federal government won't know until we get the first payment from the customer, then we'll activate that policy number and we'll cancel the duplicates," Olson says.
