Several communities have opened warming centers to help those impacted by the power outages.

Mayfield Heights police say the Ross DeJohn Community Center, 6306 Marsol Road,is now open as a shelter for households that are still without power.

The United Methodist Church, 515 North Streetin Chardon and the Russell Township Fire Department, 14910 Chillicothe Road in Novelty,have both opened their doors as warming centers.

They are open for those who have no electricity as a place to get warm and recharge electrical devices.

Lyndhurst has opened the community center as a warming center for residents until 9 p.m. Warm drinks and snacks provided. Red Cross on site for additional support if needed.

The Cleveland Heights Community Center at 1 Monticello Boulevard is open for those residents without power. If you have no way to get there, call the police at 321-1234 and they will get you there.
