SOLON -- Police say that, just after 9 p.m. Sunday, officers stopped a vehicle traveling on SOM Center Road because it didn't have a visible registration on the rear of the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Elizabeth Schneider, 18, of Burton, and the front seat passenger was identified as Joseph Weeks, 22, also of Burton.
Schneider told officers that she took the temporary tag off the back of the vehicle so it wouldn't get stolen while she was at the Mushroomhead Concert.
While the reporting officer was completing a written warning, Solon's police K-9 Stryker and his handler arrived and conducted a drug sniff on the vehicle.
Stryker alerted on the right front passenger side of the door. At that point, Schneider reached down her shirt and pulled out a small bag of marijuana (2.5 grams) and a multi-colored glass drug pipe from her bra.
Police also located a clear plastic bag with a white crystallized substance (26.5 grams) that tested positive to the reaction of bath salts.
Schneider was charged with drug possession and drug paraphernalia and Weeks was charged with drug possession.
Both were taken to the Solon Jail and later released.
