CLEVELAND -- A man charged in the death of a teenager last seen in 1995 has been ordered to undergo a second competency evaluation.
Elias Acevedo appeared in court Monday for a pre-trial hearing.
The court ordered the second evaluation due to the fact the first court-ordered review took place before charges were amended to include murder charges.
Acevedo is charged in the 1995 murder of Christina Adkins. The teen's remains were discovered in October and were later identified. Acevedo is also charged in the 1994 murder of Pamela Pemberton. He has also been indicted on numerous sex charges.
Acevedo is scheduled for another pre-trial hearing on December 2. The results of the competency evaluation are expected to be part of that hearing.
