Cleveland – One woman is under arrest and facing a number of charges including Aggravated Vehicular Homicide after an early morning fatal car accident.

Police say it happened around 3 a.m. Saturday morning when Shamanique Bryant sped recklessly while intoxicated down Euclid Avenue near Coltman Avenue.

Police say she hit another car from behind which caused her front passenger to be ejected on to the street.

Police say Bryant continued down Euclid Avenue when she then stopped and pulled her brother out of the car and began performing CPR. According to police, the man had been shot earlier in the night at Park Avenue Night Club in East Cleveland.

Police say Bryant, while intoxicated got back into her vehicle and headed back toward the initial accident scene when she ran over the ejected victim.

The victim, Mattie J. Quellen Stubbs died on scene from her injuries.

University Circle police were first on the scene and placed Bryant under arrest.

She along with her brother were taken to Metro Health Medical Center for their injuries.

The driver and two passengers in the other car involved were taken to Metro Health Medical Center for non life threatening injuries.

Cleveland Police say Bryant could face OVI charges once test results are complete.
