LAKE COUNTY - Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation took down some of the concrete barriers on a problem stretch of Interstate 90 near Vrooman Rd. and Route 44 Friday.

That's the same stretch of road that drivers have been complaining about. They say small lanes and changing traffic patterns are causing accidents.

That combined with snowy weather have caused several multi-car accidents. The latest occurred earlier this week when three tractor trailers collided with a pickup truck.

More work is scheduled for tomorrow. There will be lane closures from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ODOT says the work to remove the barrier wall will take up to 10 days. It will release more information about the lane closures when it becomes available.
