PORTAGE COUNTY -- The Portage County Sheriff says deputies have located a man sought in connection with a death investigation.

Sheriff David W. Doak says John R. Fox, 34, of Portage County was taken into custody without incident with the help of Ravenna Police on Friday night.

Sheriff Doak says Fox was wanted in connection with the murder of a missing person from Alliance, Ohio.

Alliance police say Justin Earley, 22, of Alliance was reported missing on December 31st.

According to police Earley was last seen leaving a home in Canton and was headed to Kent.

The investigation which included obtaining subpoena information for phone and email records, as well as subpoena information for a Craigslist ad, reportedly led investigators to develop a suspect in Earley's disappearance.

A search warrant was obtained and served at Fox's residence in Portage County Friday.

Alliance police say detectives along with the Portage County Sheriff's Office discovered a body inside the home believed to be Justin Earley.

Investigators say they believe Earley was killed prior to the missing report being made by Alliance Police.

Fox is currently being held at the Portage Jail with no bond. He is charged with murder.

Fox is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at the Ravenna Courthouse.
