AKRON -- The Akron Fire Department responded to a suspected arson Friday night at a vacant home at the intersection of West Crosier and South Main Street.

No one was injured, but the Red Cross is assisting a family who lives next door because their home lost power.

Firefighters consider the fire suspicious because all utilities have been turned off for some time. The home has been empty for 10 to 12 years.
