MARIETTA, Ga. -- A man wanted for murder by Cleveland Police since August 2012 has been arrested.
Authorities say they learned new information regarding the whereabouts of 27-year-old Byron James in the last several weeks that indicated he might be hiding in Georgia with a family member.
James, who is accused of fatally shooting a man near E. 136th Street and Kelso Avenue, was apprehended Friday morning inside an apartment in Marietta, Ga. Without incident.
He will be extradited back to Ohio to face the homicide charge.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, "This case proves the statement of 'You can run but you can't hide.' Our team never gave up looking for this murderer and we are pleased that he will be returning to Ohio soon to face his charges."
