AKRON -- Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh confirmed that a jury found Luis Martinez, 37, of Akron, guilty of felonious assault.

On July 31, Martinez got into an argument with the girlfriend of one of his tenants. Martinez hung the woman by her ankles out of a second-floor window, yelling and threatening to kill her, and then threw her to the ground.

The woman broke her leg when she fell.

A teenage neighbor and her mother saw the woman hanging out of the window and called 911.

Judge Tammy O'Brien will sentence Martinez at 1 p.m. on Dec. 19.
