CLEVELAND -- Police are seeking the public's help in identifying an individual who hit a 13-year-old girl and left the scene of the accident last week.

The teen was crossing Union Avenue near East 110th Street Friday when she was hit in the curb lane. The driver did not stop and fled westbound on Union.

The girl suffered a broken leg.

The vehicle involved in the accident is described as a dark colored (possibly maroon) Dodge Caravan or Ford Windstar, possibly an early 2000s model. The vehicle did not have a luggage rack, and any damage to the vehicle is probably minimal and would be in the right front portion of the van.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the Accident Investigation Unit at (216) 623-5295.
