AKRON -- Police say a woman was stabbed in the chest by her own sister Christmas evening amid a fight about apple fritters.
21-year-old Tamara Delaney was taken to Akron City Hospital for treatment after the 11:30 p.m. incident in the 900 block of Springdale Street.
Delaney's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A third sister told responding officers that she was in her kitchen cooking when her two sisters started play fighting over the apple fritters. The situation escalated with one pulling the other's hair before Delaney was stabbed in the chest.
