CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland firefighter is under arrest, accused of threatening his tenants with a machete.
According to Cleveland Police and court records, 42-year-old Almon Harris was arrested on assault and aggravated menacing charges.
Police say there was an argument over rent between Harris and his tenants at a home on E. 94th Street.
According to the police report, Harris poked two people with the machete before punching one of them and running off.
He was a found a short time later and taken into custody.
According to the police report, Harris states he was called to the home about a broken furnace and "to have sex over the late rent."
Cleveland fire officials say Harris has been with the CFD for 19 years and works out of Cleveland Fire Station 41, which is on East 116th Street.
