WELLINGTON -- Two men were arraigned in Oberlin Municipal Court Monday on charges of felonious assault following an incident Wednesday.
Just before 6 p.m. Jan. 15, the Ohio State Highway Patrol was sent to a reported assault at the Findlay State Park near Wellington in Lorain County.
The responding officer met with the victim, 44, at his Sullivan home and obtained a statement.
Through investigation, two suspects were developed -- Thomas J. Denes Jr., 34, of New London and Todd P. Denes, 31, of Wellington.
Thomas Denes was charged with one count of felonious assault and Todd Denes was charged with felonious assault and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
According to the report, the victim was attacked by the two men on state park grounds. Todd Denes allegedly used the victim's vehicle without permission and damaged state property with the victim's vehicle.
Both men turned themselves in to the State Patrol Post in North Ridgeville and were arrested on Friday.
Bond was set at $5,000 for each suspect by the court.
